2016 Round 7: 6 Hours of Fuji WEC


The 6 Hours of Fuji, a captivating round of the esteemed FIA World Endurance Championship (WEC), thrilled spectators at the Fuji International Speedway in Japan. The race showcased a dazzling display of motorsport prowess, with Toyota Gazoo Racing leading the pack in the LMP1 class, G-Drive Racing securing victory in LMP2, and Ford Chip Ganassi Team UK dominating LMGTE Pro.

In the fiercely contested LMP1 class, Toyota Gazoo Racing claimed the top spot on the podium with car #6. The talented trio of Kamui Kobayashi, Mike Conway, and Stéphane Sarrazin displayed remarkable driving skills and exceptional teamwork, leaving their rivals trailing behind. Car #67, driven by Andy Priaulx and Harry Tincknell, clinched the top spot, closely followed by car #66, with Stefan Mücke and Olivier Pla behind the wheel. Their masterful driving and strategic brilliance solidified Ford's position as a formidable force in the GT Endurance Pro category.

The LMGTE Am category saw Aston Martin Racing shine in car #98, showcasing exemplary skill and teamwork. The trio of Paul Dalla Lana, Pedro Lamy, and Mathias Lauda delivered a commanding performance, securing the class victory with determination and precision.
