Formula E Tokyo Prix 2024: A Historic First for Japan

What is Formula E?
Formula E is an all-electric racing series that brings high-speed motorsport to city streets worldwide. Launched in 2014, it aims to promote sustainable innovation and clean energy in racing. Unlike traditional motorsports, Formula E cars use battery-powered electric engines, making them quieter and eco-friendly while delivering thrilling wheel-to-wheel action.

The championship features Attack Mode, allowing drivers to gain extra power for a limited time, and FanBoost, where fans vote to give selected drivers an additional energy boost. With races held in major cities like London, Berlin, and now Tokyo, Formula E is redefining the future of motorsport.

On March 30, 2024, Tokyo hosted its first-ever Formula E race, marking a significant milestone for electric motorsport in Japan. The Tokyo E-Prix transformed the streets of Ariake into a high-speed circuit, showcasing the latest advancements in sustainable racing technology.
